Lauren Young, 1st Grade Teacher

My name is Lauren Young, and I am so excited to be your child’s teacher for the upcoming school year! Just a little about me—I am a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Starkville.  I graduated from Mississippi State University in May 2016 (Hail State!). I also received my master’s degree from Arkansas State University in Educational Leadership in December 2020. My husband’s name is Jesse, and we will be married for four years this October. We have two sons named Collins and Miles.

This school year will be my ninth year teaching. I have been teaching at Annunciation for seven years, and I couldn’t have imagined a better seven years of teaching. It truly is a family here, and I am so happy to be a part of it! I have taught second grade for four years, and I have taught first grade for four years. First grade expectations are much higher, but I have full confidence that we have a very smooth year ahead of us.  For those of you who are new to ACS, get ready for a great year! This school is so special, and I am so glad that you made the decision to be a part of our school family.
