Casey Thomas, Principal
It is with great joy and a deep sense of purpose that I begin my first year as principal of Annunciation Catholic School. Serving this community is both an honor and a blessing, as Annunciation has always been more than a school to me; it’s home. As an alumna, parishioner, and now a parent of three ACS students, I understand firsthand the legacy of faith, academic excellence, and community that makes our school so special.
Before stepping into this role, I served as Curriculum Director and Assistant Principal at ACS for four years and have taught various grades throughout my career in education. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University in 2011 and completed my Master’s in Educational Leadership from MSU in 2021. Originally from Columbus and a lifelong parishioner of Annunciation Catholic Church, my roots here run deep. My sisters and I attended ACS, as did our father, and now my three boys proudly represent the third generation of ACS Eagles.
With gratitude, I step into the role of principal committed to continuing our tradition of faith and excellence, working alongside our dedicated faculty and staff to support every child’s spiritual, academic, and personal growth. My vision is simple but steadfast: to create an environment where every student feels known, loved, and challenged to become the person God created them to be. I have a passion for Catholic education and student advocacy, and my goal is to inspire both students and staff to reach their full potential while fostering a positive, faith-filled, and inclusive school community.
