Kindergarten
Kindergarten is the gateway for your child to develop a love of learning. Children this age are beginning to learn empathy as well as building the foundation of reading, math and science. We integrate play and written work to make sure your child is being prepared for 1st grade as well as learning how to interact with other children and adults. Your child will learn phonics so they can learn to read and spell AND be exposed to incredible books so they develop a love of reading. Number sense, addition, subtraction and place value will be the main focus of our math lessons. We will learn about the world around us in both science and social studies. In religion, we focus on God's love for us and how he created the world, our families and our friends to help us know and spread his love. We know that some of the best learning takes place outside the classroom so we go on at least 3 field trips each year. And of course there is a lot of dancing, singing, painting and creating!
