Community Outreach
Our students learn from an early age that they can help make a difference in the world. We have community service projects for all grades, and a buddy program to help reinforce the value and importance of giving of one’s time, talents and gifts. In addition to classroom service projects, all students participate in various charitable events throughout the year.
Held on the last Friday of the month, students may wear blue jean shorts, pants, skirts, or skorts for a $1 donation to charity. Each month a different class receives this money for their charity group. Charities are subject to change based on needs in our community, society, etc. The following charities are supported through Jeans for Green:
August - MS Blood Services
September - Operation Christmas Child
October - MS College Dyslexia Research
November - St. Vincent de Paul Society
December -
January - The Golden Triangle Regional Homeless Coalition
February - St. Jude's Children's Hospital
March - St. Joseph's Food Pantry
April - Catholic Relief Services
