Pre K 3

Here’s a look at what we do in Pre-K3!  Here we have a little bit of structure and a lot of play.

Centers- Most of our learning time will take place through centers. Children will work with their table group on a lesson either independently or with teacher help. At the end of a certain time. Children will rotate to another center.

We will have a block center, a dramatic play center, a science/ math center, reading center and an art center also fine motor/manipulative center. At the beginning of each day during what’s called free play time children decide which play area to play in. These learning centers are a key part of preschool experience. I will introduce the center we will talk about the materials in the center and how to use them.

When using hands on activities to learn from they are able to manipulate blocks or other objects to help them with math skills, they are able to play with play doh and many other manipulatives to help with their fine motor development.

We will also have morning meeting time on the carpet. During which time we will learn about colors, numbers, alphabet.

We will talk about the weather, have story time and students will be given the opportunity to share and talk with one another about God, family, friends and many more wonderful things.

Our classroom is a very busy place filled with learning activities. We grow and learn so much!
